Description:
Cannot open and run MySQL Workbench.

“MySQLWorkbench” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.

This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.

Firefox downloaded this file yesterday at 1:41 PM from dev.mysql.com.

How to repeat:
Download mysql-workbench-community-8.0.22-macos-x86_64.dmg from https://cdn.mysql.com//Downloads/MySQLGUITools/mysql-workbench-community-8.0.22-macos-x86_...

Run and install.

Attempt to open Workbench.

Even when you override MacOS Gatekeeper and open Workbench, it still crashes.

I have the SAME bug. Please fix it. It is happening on Big Sur. I went into control panel and security settings and "open anyway" but it crashes after this. PLEASE FIX THIS.

The application is crashing on my mac running catalina too ! please fix iy

"MySQLWorkbench" can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.  This software needs to be updated.

Tried security settings "open anyway".  Then "MySQLWorkbench quite unexpectedly", Reopen just gets the error message repeatedly.

Same issue happening with MySQL Workbench 8.0.23 using macOS Big Sur 11.2.3.

Any estimation on when MySQL Workbench would be available to Mac users?

I have the same problem with launching the MySql workbench on Mac. It crashes immediately after the launch.

Please advise how to fix this. I installed MySql workbench today and I cannot open it for the same reason already listed. It seems like it has been almost a year since this bug was first reported. I am downloading this so that I can complete a course. I cannot move forward without this.
