Description:
I have install the latest workbench 5.2.36
After the installation i try to open a workbench SQL development screen and the system say

MYSQL Workbench has encountered a problem

Value off -1 is not valid for SplitterDistance. SplitterDistance must be greatther tan 0
Parameter name SplitterDistance

This message block complete my work.

What is the window size, nnn*mmm, of Workbench when you get this problem?

Dis appear with different screen resolution

I have this when i work on my laptop screenres 1280x960 and i have this when i work with the connected doc station and a extra screen on a resolution is 1024 x 768

The problem is thad it is not possible anymore to open the SQL development screen. Even afther complete remove en re install the workbench 5.2.36 the same problem stay open.

I would also like to add, the first time I started workbench all worked fine, but the next day, when I tried to query a database this error appeared and has been appearing since.

Replacing the file wb_state.xml with a fresh version in the config folder fixes the issue.
So must be some calculations in that file that are causing the issue.

Deleting it might also work.

I can not find this file on Windows XP sp 3

Fixed as of 5.2.37:

The SQL editor would not load under certain circumstances. The
check for restoring split positions was corrected to solve this
issue.

Works for me!

I´m newbie with MySql! But I had this problem, and move the file:

 C:\Users\*user name*\AppData\Roaming\MySQL\Workbench\wb_state.xml

and the workbench start up fine... before workbench didnt start and lock with bug screen...
