Thank you for a problem report. Looks like it is a duplicate of bug #15816 (they use the same base GUI implementation), bug #15892 or bug #15825. Please, check.

same thing in win2k. also (related?) disabled menu items are not greyed out. also (related?) highlighting of selected text in the query editor is white-on-white (and therefor invisible). selection highlighting still works correctly in srcipt editor. also (related?) when in the query editor, if backspace is used to remove all text on the first line, the first line (and any additional lines bearing text) get a "silver" background. it is as if internal pallet tables have gotten munged. hth

Duplicate of bug #15816 or bug #15825. At least, this bug should be fixed with the same patch to the latest versions of GUI tools.
