Description:
Since upgrading my Workbench version to 8.0, I have noticed a frustrating bug. I run a select query and see in Output that there are rows returned (e.g. "200 rows(s) returned"). However, the panel with Result Grid (and Form Editor, etc.) never appears.

How to repeat:
Server version 5.7.23.

So far, I seem to only encounter this after an update or insert operaton but I can't pin down repro steps, yet.

The only fix I have found is to close Workbench and restart it. Closing the tab and re-opening it shows an empty schema panel on the left (meaning, I can no longer see databases or tables).
