Description:
Hi, After updating Windows 10 Enterprise to version 1803, mysql for excel is still working in theory, but it does not display the available connections, workbench works fine, I have reinstalled office, mysql for excel and vstor, but the problem remains , I'm doing the test in another windows 10 pc that mysql for excel works fine (win 1709), I'll update it to see if the problem occurs in that update.

Same problem in the other pc, After updating Windows 10 Enterprise to version 1803 mysql for excel don't show the avaible conections, nothing.

How to repeat:

Same problem, it doesn't show available connections. I have created a new one from MySQL for Excel, and it doesn't show either. I can not use it at all, it worked well few days ago, I don't know if something has been updated in my laptop. I have reinstalled it, but the problem remains.

the bug status "Can't repeat", What does that mean, that you did not analyze it? I think they not use 1803 version of win 10.

I'm having the same issue. It is not an issue with Win 1803 since I'm on 1709 and I'm having the same issue. Office 365 is updated to the latest version. Running MySQL updated as well, will check if its the MySQL version in the coming days.

After updating windows to version 1803 the connection list is populating again. Didn't update or change anything. It is definitely related to the update, since Office 365 didn't change version during the upgrade.

Hi ! Any development/resolution on this ? This has been plaguing us for a number of months now with no end in sight. Plus, it is preventing a number of our users from migrating off Windows 7 to Windows 10 and we won't be able to delay much further. Our only option at the moment is to design out our dependency on mySQL (and serving up the data through other tools), which is not a trivial task. Would appreciate any insight that folks could share. We're on version 1811 (build 11029.20108) of O365 ProPlus.

Hi ! All seems to have gone silent yet this issue is still plaguing us, even more so as our folks are being forced to migrate onto Win10. Although the severity status is listed as "S2 (Serious)", can we get a sense of the resolution path ? Is the team working on a new release of the plugin that will resolve this ? Would appreciate any update that folks have to share. Or if a workaround has been found. And before anyone asks, we're on Windows/Office Version 1812 (build 11126.20196). Thanks.

Same problem here. Ater a computer reimage, to same Windows version and reinstall of Office 365, connections defined in Workbench do not show up in MySQL for Excel. New Connection pops up with "MySQL UserName" and "H.A. Groups Filter", which make no sense in my context. I deleted the local connection in MySQL Workbench, uninstalled and reinstalled Office 365 (going from 32 to 64 bits), uninstalled and reinstalled MySQL for Excel. Nothing restored the connection.

This component is essential to a roll-out of mySQL tools for a group who are comfortable with complex spreadsheets but wary of SQL. Until this component works, we are holding off on deployment.

Windows Version 10.0.16299.0
Office 365 Version 16.0.11231.20122 64 bit (and 32 bit, uninstalled)

Any update on this ? This issue was submitted in May'18, is taggeed as "Severity 2 (Serious)", yet not getting any signal that this is being worked or when to expect a solution. Not getting a warm feeling that Oracle is really supporting this and Windows 10 is the train that won't slow down... help !!

I hope to get a response here that I asked on another bug.
Is this happening only with Excel 365? This problem is not present with other Excel versions like 2007 or 2016.

Javier,

I couldn't say. We've been running O365 for a while, even under Win 7. Under Win 7, there was no issue with the plugin. The problems started when we first moved to Win 10, and the issue remains a problem. We're trying to set up virtual desktops on VMs running Win 7 in order to help out folks who need the plugin until we can design out mySQL.
