Hello Alejandro Fragoso, Thank you for the bug report. I tried to reproduce the issue at my end using MS Excel 2016 and MySQL for Excel 1.3.7 on Windows 10 but not seeing any issues. If you can provide more information, feel free to add it to this bug and change the status back to 'Open'. Thank you for your interest in MySQL. Thanks, Chiranjeevi.

Guys, is this happening for all of you using Office 365?

I don't have this issue with Office 365.

I haven't been able to reproduce this issue, on Windows 7, Windows 10, Excel 2016 and Excel 365 (ran combinations of these environments), but on all of these the computers got all Windows and Office updates first. This is consistent with the screenshots Miguel Solorzano attached. More than one user has reported on the MySQL for Excel forum that getting the latest Windows updates (along with Office updates) solved this issue. This does not seem to be a problem with the add-in per se, but with Excel 365 running COM add-ins. Since I also tested with different DPI settings for the display settings on Windows, since we have other bug reports related to non-standard DPI settings, but still the connections list showed. Can you please verify if getting the latest Office updates solves the issue? If not and you wish to re-open the bug report, we will need to get specifics of your environment so we can reproduce the problem, so far with the given information and lots of hard-guessing it has been impossible to reproduce.

I repeated the problem, but I cant figure out how. I had to reinstall windows 10 pro and all my programs. I own a Office 365 subscription so it is always up to date. Installed MySQL for Excel, and made a succesfull connection in a file. Whe I tried to make a different connection with a different file the problem reappeared. The file with de succesfull connection still works well but even within this file if I go back in mysql for excel and terminate the connection to open a new one the problem persist.

This bug is also affecting me as of 7/3/2019. I used to be able to see all my connections in the sidebar and now none of them will appear. However, they do appear in MySql workbench. I am on the latest version of Windows 10 64bit and using Office 365 latest. I do believe I am on a different network than I was when I was using it before. Could it be an IP block issue or something? This is such a useful plug-in can you please try to debug it.

Microsoft pushed out and updates recently. Office 365 finished updating, lo and behold the connections were back in MySQL for Excel. For the first time on this computer I might add. While I was celebrating with some fresh coffee Windows updated itself, after rebooting the connections had disappeared again. I´m going to see if I can get a non-365 version of Office, perhaps that will solve the issue.

I am having the same problem. I installed all software 5 days ago and everything was working beautifully. Tonight the connection is showing in MySQL Workbench and if I try to add a "new connection" in MySQL for Excel, I get an error message telling me I am already connected. But... nothing shows in the MySQL for Excel Window "open a connection pane". I tried modifying the Trust Center settings, including adding the MySQL for Excel path as a trusted location and turning off "enable protected view for files in potentially unsafe locations". I installed Norton in the interim couple of days. Could that be the culprit? Here is my configuration: Windows 10 laptop MS Office Professional Plus 2016 - updated tonight MySQL for Excel - downloaded and reinstalled tonight MySQL workbench 9.0 build 8.0.16 CE (64 bit) - downloaded and installed 5 days ago I have work to get done this long-weekend!

Hi, same problem here. Windows 10 v. 1803 Office 2016 The workaround provided involving cmd works, I'm able to see my connections again; but now I have to freeze all my Office versions in order to use MySQLForExcel.

@Rubén Romero-García What workaround are you referring to?

Just tried updating to Windows 10 1903, Excel for Office365 1906 (16.0.11727), and am running into same problem. Like others, it had been working fine a couple of weeks ago. Now, no connections ever appear. Updating does not solve problem here.

Reverting back to an earlier version of Excel (1904) got it working again for me, per this suggestion: https://forums.mysql.com/read.php?172,675847,675892#msg-675892 Some additional tips related to rolling back Office 365 may help explain: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2770432/how-to-revert-to-an-earlier-version-of-of...
