Description:
When the com add-in "MySQL for Excel" is enabled in Excel Options, whenever Excel is launched, an empty "dirty" workbook is opened ("dirty": when trying to close it, prompted with "Want to save your changes to 'Sheet1'?" even though no changes have been made). This happens regardless of whether Excel is launched by double-clicking an existing workbook (e.g. through File Explorer, in which case the existing workbook is opened AS WELL AS an empty "dirty" 'Sheet1' workbook) or by launching Excel (just the empty 'Sheet1' is created). It's just an annoyance to always have to close another empty workbook and also click "No" to save.

Disabling "MySQL for Excel" in Excel Options: Launching Excel takes me to the "Excel - Recent" pane where pressing ESCAPE creates a "blank workbook" named "Book1"; double-clicking an existing workbook opens only that workbook. No empty workbooks named "Sheet1" created.

How to repeat:
Enable "MySQL for Excel" in Excel Options. Launch Excel and observe behavior. Compare to when "MySQL for Excel" is disabled.

Suggested fix:
Don't change the behavior of Excel re: creating new/empty workbooks when "MySQL for Excel" is enabled
