Description:
it seems like you guys have had multiple instances of this, but haven't seen anything but "workarounds".  I have seen people reporting this on many versions, and it still seems to be an issue.

I can't uninstall .net connector, and the uninstall always rolls back.

please fix your installer program!

try and uninstall it.

ya know, it seems like this installer just isn't that smart.   this issue has happened to me more than once..the last time i just reinstalled my os.   im not willing to do that again.  check the log file i sent....i dont know what i am looking for here, so maybe you can tell me.

now here is the weird thing....everything is working again.  i removed the mysql.web directory, removed registry entries, reinstalled, and it failed...however, the dataset designer, data connection to my local mysql db and all that is working fine.  

desktop stuff seems like it is not affected by the failed uninstall/install for the most part.

one thing i cannot do is run the table designer from vs2017.  "cannot create a design window for selected object".  but if that's the only thing i can't do, i can live with that.  sql workbench will do the job fine.

I STILL DONE LIKE FAILING INSTALLERS!
