Description:
The "Mac OS X 10.10 (x86, 64-bit), DMG Archive" download at http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/ is incorrect. It contains the .pkg file for 10.9, not 10.10.

How can I obtain the .pkg file for OS X 10.10 ?

Download the dmg and unpack it - the pkg file it contains will be incorrect.
