Description:
Many companies and developers would like to migrate from SQL Server to MySQL, but the lack of support for MARS prevents them to do so, or makes it very hard because of the great amount of refactoring needed to circumvent the issue.

How to repeat:
It's a feature request.

Suggested fix:
Implement support for MARS (Multiple active result sets).

This will make a lot of users happy and make MySql play nice with odata web api

Please do add MARS for MySQL.  I just migrated from Oracle to MySQL and our app is dead due to this issue.

For now marking this as duplicate of Bug #94010(ideally Bug #77610 should have been base bug).
