Will there be an update of the time zone description tables in the near future?

Time zone description tables are updated now. Packages of the same can be downloaded from the link, http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/timezones.html

Current tzdb version is now 2015e, but only 2015a is available on the mysql site. As mentioned in the original issue, it's important that a MySQL maintainer is subscribed to the IANA time zone announcements list to receive notification of new releases. A corresponding update should be published within a reasonable timeframe. This needs to be a regular process. Otherwise, it will continue to grow stale as new time zone updates are released often.
