Description:
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.6/en/innodb-create-index-implementation.html

Section "Error Conditions for Online DDL" in the 5th bullet item:

"temporary online long" should read "temporary online log"

How to repeat:
view documentation at described location

Suggested fix:
replace word 'long' with 'log' in this particular instance.

If you came here as a result of the 5.7.5 or 5.6.21 changelog entry below, the bug you really want is bug #70641 "5.6 partitions use much more memory than 5.1".

 -----

InnoDB; Partitioning: Large numbers of partitioned InnoDB tables could consume much more memory when used in MySQL 5.6 or 5.7 than the memory used by the same tables used in previous releases of the MySQL Server. (Bug #17780517, Bug #70614)

References: This bug was introduced by Bug #11764622, Bug #57480.

 -----

The 70614 in that changelog should be 70641, not 70614. This incorrect reference should vanish in a few days, notification of the typo has been made.
