Description:
MySQL Workbench crashes after showing the startup logo. My enviroment:

- Ubuntu 11.04 under VirtualBox
- MySQL Workbench 5.2.39. Concretely mysql-workbench-gpl-5.2.39-1ubu1104-i386.deb

I checked these 2 threads before posting:

http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=59633
http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=59620

Not working (glxgears works fine, for example).

Here, a log file: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6599273/errors/mylog.txt

Line executed:

/usr/bin/mysql-workbench > mylog.txt

How to repeat:
Launch mysql-workbench

Hi
Did you have some older version of WB installed before?
Can you rename the ~/.mysql directory to something else and then try starting it again?
If that works, can you make a zip of the original ~/.mysql directory that was renamed and attach it?
Make sure to check the files contained to see if there's any sensitive info you don't want to share.

It works! Rename the .mysql folder did the trick. Many thanks for the quick response and solution! I close the ticket.
