Description:
mysql server application had exist in os,bug install mysql connector/odbc failed 

How to repeat:
install mysql connector/odbc with .dmg file in mac os x 10.7.3

What exact version, 5.1.x, are you trying to install? Is it 5.1.10, the latest?

excact is 5.1.10. the latest version on download page

The problem is verified.
It seems that not only MacOS 10.7 is affected, but 10.5 too.

I have the same problem on MacOS 10.6.8 with mysql-connector-odbc-5.1.10-osx10.6-x86-64bit

Tried to install 5.1.10 on Mac OSX 10.7.3.
Does not install.

Same here. Won't install. OSX 10.7.3, Connector/ODBC file: mysql-connector-odbc-5.1.10-osx10.6-x86-64bit.dmg or mysql-connector-odbc-5.1.10-osx10.6-x86-32bit.dmg

Same problem on Mac OS X 10.8.3. What else can we do to install this connector?

Closed as duplicate. The problem was fixed in the version 5.3.7
