Description:
Program reported a file in MySQL's program tree to which I did not have access. This appeared to cause Workbench to crash. Thius might be because I already had Workbench open as an admin. I recognise that this is not good practice and had expected an error but not a crash.

How to repeat:
Open Workbech as as an admin. Switch user to a non-admin and do the same. Attempt to test connectivity to an instance.

Suggested fix:
Prohibit the attempted actions.

What exact version of Workbench, 5.2.x, do you use? I suspect it's something like bug #62709, so, please, check if 5.2.37 if you are not using it already.

Workbench CE 5.2.35.

It does look like bug #62709. I will try to get version 5.2.37 as suggested.

Workbench 5.2.37 CE seems to fix the problem. I would be happy for you to mark this bug as a duplicate.

A duplicate of bug #62709, bug #62703 or any other of that "family".
