Please, check if recent version, 5.2.33, is still affected by this problem.

This is still broken running 5.2.35 on KDE. Can this be moved from a feature request? Are there docs which specify Gnome is required for it to be fully functional? The only reference I found (quickly) was: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/workbench/en/wb-requirements-software.html. It does not specify Gnome, and states that Fedora 15 (32-bit/64-bit) is "officially supported". So, should all of the features work correctly? And if they don't, is it really a "Feature request"? If it's even possible, is there a doc on how to install (and be fully functional) running KDE?

Still broken with 5.2.39 and Fedora 16 (KDE Spin). IMHO this is a bug because (as Lee stated before) there is no explicit requirement for Gnome or Gnome keyring daemon specified in the docs.

This is still true in 8.0.12 running under KUbuntu 18.04.1. Gives the error: The name org.freedesktop.secrets was not provided by any .service files

Workaround in https://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=52866 does not work. I'm considering opening a new bug.
