Description:
Hi,

After making a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.10 on my computer and downloading the latest version of mySQL workbench (5.2.31-2ubu1010 (mysql-workbench-gpl) for Ubuntu (mysql-workbench-gpl-5.2.31a-2ubu1010-i386.deb) and installing with Ubuntu Software Center (Synaptic?) it won't start at all.

I see the splash page, but it dissappear after about three seconds and shuts down the complete application. I've rebooted, removed the application completely, reinstalled and rebooted again. Nothing works and no errors are seen.

What can I do?

How to repeat:
Ubuntu 10.10
Downloaded file: mysql-workbench-gpl-5.2.31a-2ubu1010-i386.deb
Version: 5.2.31-2ubu1010 (mysql-workbench-gpl)

Hi Johannes,

Thanks for your support. Here's the command I used to start the mySQL Workbench from terminal. I've attached mylog.txt to this bug:

root@cookiemonster:~# /usr/bin/mysql-workbench > mylog.txt
** Message: Gnome keyring daemon seems to not be available. Stored passwords will be lost once quit
Segmentation fault
root@cookiemonster:~#

Thanks a lot!
