Description:
Neither versions 5.1.17 or 5.2.2a work in OS X Snow Leopard (10.6). 5.1.17 launches and immediately crashes. 5.2.2a also crashes, but not as quickly. Both versions are completely unstable in Snow Leopard. I can provide logs upon request.

How to repeat:
Open the program. Observe the futility of trying to launch the program.

Suggested fix:
Keep it from crashing.

Please do not submit the same bug more than once. An existing bug report, bug #46953, already describes this very problem.

Thank you for your interest in MySQL.

I apologize. Perhaps you need a better search tool because I looked for this bug prior to submitting my own and did not find it. Thank you for linking me to the original submission.

Mee too - i LOOKED FOR Snow Leopard, that being the uniquely different factor, and this bug was the only one that came up. Perhaps the other bug should have snow leopard string in it for searching
