Description:
Installing the MySQL Enterprise 5.0.52 package fails.

Using the .dmg package fails with a message:
"install failed. The following install step failed. Run preflight script for MySQL-5.0.-52-enterprise-gpl for Mac OS X. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance

How to repeat:
* Download the package mysql-enterprise-gpl-5.0.52-osx10.5-x86.dmg
* Start the installation on Leopard
* follow the instructions

Suggested fix:
The only workaround is to use a tarball and install from the command line.

Verified using MySQL 5.0.52 "Mac OS X v10.5 Installer" on PowerPC.

postflight and preflight should be "executable", and they are not in the package.

Please just don't try to install the x86 binary on PPC. (There is no specific 5.0.52 binary for 10.5 PPC.)

I'll talk to people to get the name of the link changed. The architecture is indicated in the file name, though.

I used the Intel binaries on a Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook.

I've committed a fix to the internals repository.

I'm setting this bug to "in progress" until it can be tested, but it should be fixed in the next 5.0 release.

I've got mysql-enterprise-5.0.56-osx10.5-x86.dmg installed without problems on my 10.5.2 Macbook.
