This is a duplicate of Bug #16178.

Description: After several headaches just found that if you have some special characters on your password will cause MyODBC to report: "Request returned with SQL_ERROR." Without any diagnostic information. Don't know if this affect other systems. How to repeat: I had this password, try using it: {}3as~!+@_)@
