Description:
We would like to see mysql gain an internal quota system - something to allow DBAs to limit the space used by specific databases, that doesn't require file system quotas, and that doesn't corrupt data when the limits are reached.

This is something I've been waiting for in MySQL for years. Any chance this might get implemented? I've seen some hacky trigger-based solutions, but it would be much better if this were a core feature of MySQL.
