Description:
I do not know if it is a bug or not, but this is the last place I may ask for help.
Problem is with inserting record through Delphi, Ado to Mysql Database.
I want to insert value: 4.5 to the float Table's Attribute.

I get all the time the error: "Data Truncated for column 'xxx' ..."

This only happens in delphi which connects with Ado to Database.
When i insert sql statement in any Mysql's manager, it works - record is inserted.
I have a 3.51v ODBC Connector

How to repeat:
This only happens in delphi which connects with Ado to Database.
When i insert sql statement in any Mysql's manager, it works - record is inserted.
I have a 3.51v ODBC Connector

Version 5. seems not to work good, after configuring on system i get Strange Signs retrieving database tables in Mysql's ODBC COnfigurator (in Control Panel/Administrative Tools/ODBC Sources), it can not connects, does not work.

What is teh difference between 3.51 and 5v, What version should i Use?
Why does not 5 version work?

And the most important question is how to work around this problem (with float value)

I know you may not answer on this questions, but i posted question on the forum and noone answer so i thought that it may be unusual problem, and that is the reason I am writting to you ...

Really thanks for any help...

Hi. Thanks for your problem report, actualy, you described two problems.
About the first one, Delphi-ADO truncation problem: please, provide MySQL server, MyODBC (3.51.xx) and Delphi version. Do you connect through BDE? Also, can you provide application with source which demonstrates your problem? DDL script would also be nice.
Second issue is described in http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=12342, 12772
