Thank you for a problem report. Have you installed QB on Windows 2000 as local Administrator?

Yes, it was installed under the local built-in administrator account.

Do you have any service packs/antivirus software/firewall software installed on Windows 2000?

I get the same problem on XP pro SP2. Tried a back version (1.1.14) and had the same problem. I erase all the history files, do a complete uninstall of the tools (not the database) with no change in outcome. This bug has been around for years, looking through the bug repository. It is hard to provide more detail, other than when the main Query Browser window appears, the error is shown repeatedly in the status bar. It makes it impossible to use the tool on systems that have this problem. I agree it is a critical problem, it is frustrating that it has been around so long.

I had service pack 4 installed and some of the other security patches. I have now installed the latest security patches (4 in total) and rebooted this server. The Query Browser software is now running correctly. Many thanks for your help. Rob

Closed as bug does not occur any more after OS upgrade.

As I just reported for bug #4329 I also get this in 1.1.20 . I have removed all the xml files (but not reinstalled QB), but I haven't gotten rid of it. After I startup (no database) my processor untilization jumps up to about 80% and stays there. When I click on a menu or in query tab the untilization sinks to 0%. But it will jump right back up, at yet not identified moments. If I right click in the tree, the first time it only displays for a fraction of a second before disappearing. The second time seems fine. (We run MySQL 4.1.11 on Linux and an ODBC 3.51 connection. I also have MySQL Admin on my PC with Win2000 SP4.)
