Description:
When launching a new workbench window from a loaded model, an error message pops up in the new workbench window after the splash screen. The popup window text is:
"file c:\dokumente und einstellungen\mike\eigene dateien\work\mysql-gui-common\library_grt\source\myx_grt_struct.c: line 369: assertion 'gstruct != NULL' failed.

Only an OK button is visible.

After clicking the OK button, a new pop-up window appears with a title of Workbench Error and only an OK button after the message. The text in it is:
The runtime environment (GRT) could not be initialized. Please check your installation then try to restart the tool.

Error details:
Workbench.initWorkbench : Error Nr.10003

Shell output:
MySQL Generic Runtime Environment 2.0.10 beta

Type 'help' or '?' for help. Type quit to exit the shell.

After clicking the OK button, the second workbench window goes away.

This error does not occur except when you load an existing workbench model file.

Click file, then New Workbench

Greg,
at this moment we do not process bugs of mysql workbench, because it's still
in the intensive development, and we provided snapshot in order to give people
first implression of WB.

I am changing status to 'Analyzing' and return to this bugreport when WB will be
issued officially.

and the 2nd dialog:

Please check your installation then try to restart the tool.

Please, try to repeat with a newer version, 1.0.6, and inform about the results.

Feedback? Ok: I can confirm that this bug is still around in 1.0.6 (using Win XP SP2).

I'm experiencing it when trying to open a .mwb file through a file association directly from the Windows Explorer.

Previously I posted about this here: http://forums.mysql.com/read.php?113,88452,88452#msg-88452 . A screenshot showing the exact error messages is my 2nd post in that thread.

Just noticed this has also been reported as bug 20259.

?

What's that supposed to mean? Where's that 'reopen' button then? Doesn't exactly encourage giving detailed feedback again :(
