Thank you for a problem report. I suppose server is not a problem here, but, please, inform about the version of MySQL server used. Is there anything in its error log for the period when you were trying to select schema in Query Browser? Just to be sure.

I was experiencing this problem with mysql-query-browser and FC4 and I solved that uninstalling the generic RPM and installing the RH9 rpm file: mysql-query-browser-1.1.12-1.rh9.i386.rpm Hope it helps someone. Best rgs, Ricardo Poppi.
