Hi! Can you please upload a copy of your backup profile so that we can reproduce this problem ? I created a backup profile, reloaded it, and I had no problems at all. Thanks.

I have been tearing my hair out over this bug for some time. The bug does indeed exist, and can be replicated. OS: win2kpro sp4 MySQL Administrator: all versions I tested up to 1.2.6rc (most recent version to date). Tested on several machines. I have verified the following: * The bug depends in some way on the windows user account. * The bug does not depend on the configuration file (*.mbp). * The bug will appear if the windows user account name contains accented characters. My windows user account name is "andré", account type is "power user". Under this account name I cannot load previously saved backup profiles. (Of course I log into MySQL Administrator as "root".) However, I noticed that the bug did not appear when I was logged in on the Administrator account. Swapping *.mbp files between user accounts did not change this behaviour. There were no problems with file access permissions. Windows user privileges were not involved either. I tested this by creating a new windows user account aptly named "test", with power user privileges like my normal user account. When logged in as "test", the bug did *not* appear. This leaves the presence of accented chars in the user account name (and thus in the path to the *.mbp files, which is \Documents and Settings\%username%\Dati Applicazioni\MySQL\, as the likely cause. Note that, if accented characters in the path are the problem, there may be versions of windows in certain languages which have accented chars in the \Application Data\ part of the path as this depends on the language...

Thank you for the report. Verified as described: create user account contains non-latin characters (for example, "Света"), create backup project, reopen MySQL Administrator and try to access to the backup project.
