This also happens when selecting any of the left-side tool icons (table, view, routine, relationship, layer, note), whether on a new empty page or after a reverese-engineering cycle.

Same here on XP Pro SP2. It pops up this exact error message in the status bar, but it allows me to create tables, views, and routines. It will not allow the creation of any kinds of relations, layers or notes.

Same error on Win2K SP4. Error message (Access violation at address 0053B820 in module 'MySQLWorkbench.exe'. Read of address 0000001C) appears in the status bar, and the tools (relationships, etc) don't work (except the pointer for moving, selecting & resizing tables). Procedure: Opened MySQL Workbench Chose Database->Reverse Engineering... Created connection and imported tables Click on relationship tools, none work and error message displayed in status bar

Same error, different addresses. Was in the process of adding several foreign keys to a table. The keys were all going between the same two tables, hit apply for the fourth one, and the program locks up with this in the status bar. "Access violation at address 00523B91 in module 'MySQLWorkbench.exe'. Read of address 01825992."
