Description:
after upgrade to MySQL 8.0.33, workbench is crashing at connection. Most verbose error CheckForUpdateThread fails with 'object has no attribute isAlive'

How to repeat:
install community edition 8.0.39, then remove it and install 8.0.33 (did this because it's the version we are using at work.) after successful install attempt to open previously stored connection or create a new connection. in either case I am receiving the same error.
