Description:
When starting MySQL Workbench, error "an error occurred while loading search_sidebar.png". Then the main screen loads, followed by "MySQL Workbench has encountered a problem Parameter is not valid." Can't connect to any database.

How to repeat:
Start the program.

Imho this is duplicate of Bug #99285, please see Bug #99285 and follow the suggested fix.

This may be a dupe of a previous bug, but the solution is no good. My company has locked down the administration of my machine, so I can’t just uninstall and reinstall. My company previously installed the software and it has been running correctly for a long time, but your most most recent update was just installed automatically by my company, and that’s what caused the error. The real solution is to correct your updates so they include, or don’t delete, necessary files. Until then, I can’t use MySQL Workbench.
