Description:
Installed ODBC driver and it setup just fine but after uninstalling the driver from the Add/Remove programs and reinstalling it, the driver no longer shows as available in the ODBC Data Source Administrator. I have tried uninstalling using the package uninstaller and have used the repair utility and no change in problem. After selecting modify and next in the installation dialog, I get the internal error 2727 INSTALLDIR error. This is very similar to the bug# 3668.

How to repeat:
1.  Install driver MyODBC-3.51.11-1-win.exe.
2.  Add and configure to the ODBC Data Source Administrator.
3.  Uninstall the driver from Add/Remove programs.
4.  Delete the myODBC connection configured in the ODBC Data Source  Administrator.
5.  Reinstall driver MyODBC-3.51.11-1-win.exe.
6.  Go into ODBC Data Source Administrator and try to Add the myODBC driver.
7.  The driver is not listed.
8.  Run installer MyODBC-3.51.11-1-win.exe again and choose Modify option.
9.  Error: internal error 2727 INSTALLDIR

3.  Uninstall the driver from Add/Remove programs.
4.  Delete the myODBC connection configured in the ODBC Data Source 
Administrator.

I was unable to perform the step 4 above and received an error message
for the missed driver. I re-installed the driver without any problems.

Did you do this step?
8.  Run installer MyODBC-3.51.11-1-win.exe again and choose Modify option.

That is the step that provides the error.

No. I was unable to repeat step 4. Then and re-installed the driver
(in another words on my side for to delete DSN without the driver
isn't possible).
