Description:
I'm studying Business Information Systems at Aldi Süd. I had to download the MySQL Workbench and a MySQL Server. I was unable (with lots of help of others) to run a local server. So then, a friend hosted a (not local) one for me. Now, when I click on it trying to access, it gives me this error message:

"MySQL Workbench has encountered a problem.

Invalid parameter

Can anyone help me with this issue? I need it to work for my studies.

Imho this is duplicate of Bug #99285, please see Bug #99285 and follow the suggested fix.
