Hi, I am seriously stuck here, please help.

Every time I try to do File -> Run SQL Script, I get this error on the workbench screen:

mysql: [ERROR] Failed to open required defaults file: c:\users\raj
mysql: [ERROR] Fatal error in defaults handling.

In wb.log, I see the following:

How to repeat:
From workbench Menu, choose File -> Run SQL Script

Imho this is duplicate of Bug #103026, please see Bug #103026.
Even if you feel that your issue is somewhat different, the resolution is likely to be the same. Because of this, we hope you add your comments to the original bug instead.

Hi Ashwini,

Thanks for your update. Please note that the issue here is with a different version of WB CE. I have now downgraded to 8.0.18 and I am seeing this new issue. The error messages are completely different. IMHO this should be a much simpler issue for you to resolve.

This issue is similar to https://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=93699, the only difference is I am on Windows 10, they were on a custom Linux version.

This issue is really troubling me - CAN YOU PLEASE PROVIDE A RESOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!

Once again, to reiterate, Every time I do File -> Run SQL Script I get error similar to below:

Preparing...
Importing t2.sql...
Finished executing script
mysql: [ERROR] Failed to open required defaults file: c:\users\raj
mysql: [ERROR] Fatal error in defaults handling. Program aborted!
Operation failed with exitcode 1
