I have the same problem. My version is 5.2.40 and it crashes on open (unhandled MS.NET exception error)

Hi Robert,

did you have a previous version of MySQL Workbench installed on the machine before installing the 5.2.11 release?. Please try to delete the following directory and check if WB then starts correctly: C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Roaming\MySQL\Workbench
