Description:
The current bk tree for mysql-5.1 fails to build a source tarball

How to repeat:
BUILD/compile-test
make dist
Fails in mysql-test

BUG#36646 certainly looks related and could possibly be
a duplicate but if made duplicate it's important to
reference this bug in #36646 since they come to the
error from different use cases.
