Description:
When I open mySQL and click on a connection to open, I enter my correct password, and a pop-up message appears stating "MySQL workbench has encountered a problem"... "Parameter is not valid". It then prompts me to filing a bug report. I cannot access any of my connections, which in turn does not allow me to use the software at all (performance failure).

How to repeat:
Open mySQL and click on a connection. It will prompt you to put in a password. After entering your password, a pop up appears reporting an error.

Thank you for the bug report. I couldn't repeat with WorkBench 8.0.18 connecting with server 8.0.18.
