Hi,

Could you explain a bit more what you're doing?
When installing mysql-apt-config, do you get the interface allowing you to switch from 5.7 to 8.0?

Are you running "apt update" aftering configuring mysql-apt-config? This has to be done for apt to pick up the repo changes.
