Description:
Many databases support TIMESTAMP WITH TIME ZONE or DATETIME WITH TIME ZONE.

for example: Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase, Postgres, Oracle, DB2, Firebird ...

In .NET Framework the correct type is DateTimeOffset. So there should be a direct form for reading and writing.

How to repeat:
Nothing

Hi,

Thank you for your feature request.

I truly do not understand your feature. All our timestamp and datetimes are tied to some timezone. This so since version 4.1.

If that is not what you imply, can you please print out CREATE TABLE with that feature, with a description of how it would work ....

Hi Sinisa,

I'm not glad about closing the request because of not understanding it.
Sorry for this, but have you googled about "TIMESTAMP WITH TIME ZONE"?
This is a feature of nearly all databases. I think it is SQL Standard too.

Many sites explain the differences for expample:
https://www.dbrnd.com/2017/12/postgresql-understand-timestamp-vs-timestamp-with-time-zone/
https://www.oracletutorial.com/oracle-basics/oracle-timestamp-with-time-zone/

As explained here, MySQL does not support any type to do this, so it cannot there since version 4.1.
http://www.sqlines.com/oracle-to-mysql/timestamp_with_time_zone

Feel free to ask again if the feature is still unclear.
It should be made as soon as possible.

Please open it and make it urgently.
I was unable to reopen it.

Hi,

This is a valid feature request.

However, we do not know when will it be implemented. Not even in which version.

Once it is implemented, this page will be updated.

It's in the worklog but marked Un-Assigned at present, hopefully this can be moved into In-Design soon.
