Description:
Test local LAN configuration: MySQL 4.0.20 running on an iMac G4 under Mac OS X 10.3.8; MySQL Administrator running on PowerMac G4 under Mac OS X 10.3.5, MySQL Client 4.1.8.

Existing database and table priv's assigned to users in existing databases are not reflected in MySQL Administrator -- none are shown as assigned. All existing databases are shown under a "def" heading. Attempts to assign priv's result in user-specific priv table entries in mysql tables on server which reference a "def" database which does not in fact exist!

How to repeat:
Remove bogus "def" entries in mysql db table using phpMyAdmin. Check exisitng priv's using phpMyAdmin. Relaunch MySQL Administrator and check what priv's show for users. In MySQL Administrator pick a user and assign any priv such as Select or Insert for an end-user database.
