Description:
WorkBench will crash after trying to connect to any of my saved connections. I am a web developer and have a few vagrant boxes stored on my machine, each with MariaDB. If I closed my connection to the database without any open query tabs the connection opens fine without any issues. However, If I left a tab open the whole application will crash within about second of opening. I have figured out if I am able to quickly close one of the open tabs during the second it's open, it will prevent the crash and I can work normally.

How to repeat:
Open workbench, click a saved connection(each of my db's is running MariaDB), if there is one or more tabs open, the whole application will crash. However, If you are able to close a tab before it crashes it will work fine. If you close the application while there are still open tabs, opening it will not be a problem.

Correction to the last step:: If you close the application "with no open tabs", opening it again will not be a problem.

Thank you for the bug report. MariaDB server isn't supported by WorkBench.
