Posted by developer: Fixed as of the upcoming MySQL Installer 1.4.28 release, and here's the changelog entry: The link to documentation within the my.ini file now is redirected to MySQL 8.0 documentation when a server in the MySQL 8.0 release series is installed. Thank you for the bug report.
