Description:
Due to development constraints Bug#28365855 was pushed directly to 8.0 and trunk.
This bug was however reported and can possible affect users on 5.7.

For that reason this should be analyzed

Thank you for your feedback, this has been fixed in upcoming versions and the following was added to the 5.7.25 / 8.0.14 changelog:
When stopping replication, any channels that had pending transactions could cause a deadlock in Group Replication.
