Description:
On my Mac PC, I have installed

MySQL 8.0.12
Connector/J 8.0.12 platform independent version
SQL Developer Version 18.2.0.183
Java Platform 1.8.0.131

After starting the MySQL server, I am trying to connect to the the MySQL database from SQL Developer and getting the below error message

The connection property 'zeroDateTimeBehavior' acceptable values are 'CONVERT_TO_NULL', 'EXCEPTION' or 'ROUND'. The value 'convertToNull' is not acceptable.

Where should I set up this property value?

Earlier I got the below error while connecting to the database

Status : Failure - The server time zone value 'AEST' is unrecognized or represents more than one time zone. You must configure either the server or JDBC driver (via the serverTimezone configuration property) to use a more specific time zone value if you want to utilize time zone support

which was fixed by adding the below entries

SQL Developer changes
=====================

/Applications/SQLDeveloper.app/Contents/Resources/sqldeveloper/sqldeveloper/bin/sqldeveloper.conf

AddVMOption -Duser.timezone=GMT+10

MySQL changes
=============

$ cat /etc/my.cnf
[mysqld]
default-time-zone='+10:00'

How to repeat:
On a macOS Sierra version 10.12.6, install the above softwares and the changes mentioned above, then try connecting to the MySQL database from SQL Developer.
