Description:
The installation just hangs. The progress bar is at about 80%, the text says "Initializing" How hard could it be to install an odbc driver!? Word to the wise: stop using Wise Installer--I've used both Wise installer and InstallShield extensively, and Wise installer is TROUBLE! (I don't like Windows Installer either--and that may be the real problem)

How to repeat:
Run the installation

Suggested fix:
Provide a NON Windows Installer version to install the ODBC driver. Get away from Wise Installer

I downloaded from a different mirror (http rather than ftp) and it worked fine. The mirror that had the apparently bad download was Corvalis.

When I first attempted to install I rebooted my machine after the first hang. Then I attempted two more times.

Maybe the real solution is for me to get away from Windows?? Sorry for the hassles. I don't change my comments regarding Wise Installer, though it, perhaps was not the issue here.

Cheers
