Description:
I just downloaded mysql-workbench-community-6.3.10-winx64 and installed workbench to connect to an older MySQL database on an other computer on the LAN. (Worked fine).
THen I decided to install the whole package on my current computer, and downloadedmysql-installer-community-8.0.11.0 and installed it.

Since Workbench already was installed that was automatically excluded from the installation.

My test connection to my other computer works fine.

But when I try to create a new connection to my current computer to the new 8.0 MySQL database, i just immediately get a small screen telling me to report a but. Now error messages.

How to repeat:
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall workbench, but the same result.

Hello Hermansson,

Thank you for the bug report.
I could not repeat the issue at our end using with MySQL Workbench 8.0.11 version on Windows 10.
If you can provide more information, feel free to add it to this bug and change the status back to 'Open'.

Thank you for your interest in MySQL.

Thanks,
Chiranjeevi.
