Description:
Few of the MS SQL if added in MySQL would be very useful:
(a) It is not clear where Table functions will be available in the beta version 
(b) SELECT statements are very essential in the Functions too

Also:
(c) Temporary Tables should be allowed in Function (this one of the deficiencies of even MS SQL)
(d) If SELECT statements are allowed, then also allow the use of Tables in From clause as input variables to the Function

Each of these need to be filed as distinct feature requests. (And I suspect that most already are.)
