Description:
MySQL Administrator 1.0.6 beta hangs when asked to do backup on OS X 10.3.7, with server running 5.0.2-alpha-standard.

How to repeat:
Startup MySQL Administrator, connect to local server through socket in /tmp
We know it connects because it does show user privilege info under Accounts menu.

Go to Backup menu, choose a database, and start backup, the program shows a progress dialog with a Abort button and hangs. The Abort button remains unresponsive.

Also, a nearly identical hang when choosing Catalogs menu and attempting to fetch table info.

Suggested fix:
dunno

Hi

I can't reproduce the bug with the latest version of MA and a 4.1/5.0.1 server. MySQL 5.0.2 is a development version and has several problems, so it might be a problem with the server.
If the problem persists with the next release of Administrator, please consider downgrading MySQL to 5.0.1.
