Description: I am resubmitting this bug because you closed it before I could answer your questions. I tried your query use mysql; SELECT * FROM user where Host not in ('localhost'); and it worked on my machines as well. The mysql system DB seems to have settings that do not trigger this error. The query that I have in the original post is a working query. Do you want me to send my tables to you? Are there any systems setting, db settings, or table settings that would I could provide that would help you. Also, if I open the command line client my query works fine. Only in querybrowser does it bomb. thankyou for your help. greatly appreciated joe How to repeat: see original bug
