It was upgraded from Linux to window 10 edition. and I recently formatted my own laptop

I don't know what you meant upgrade from Linux to Windows then you formatted the Windows, I assume you are trying to do a fresh new install and not upgrade, anyway please elaborate step by step what you did. Thanks.
