Description:
the repo data at http://repo.mysql.com/yum/mysql-5.5-community/el/6/x86_64/ show the latest GA 5.5.59. However, the actual RPM files are not be found in the repo. This causes yum to fail during installation of the latest 5.5 release.

How to repeat:
Try to download latest 5.5 release with yum from http://repo.mysql.com/yum/mysql-5.5-community/el/6/x86_64/

Suggested fix:
(re-)upload the missing files for 5.5.59

the same problem also occurs in the EL7 repo http://repo.mysql.com/yum/mysql-5.5-community/el/7/x86_64/

Hi, thanks for report.

Note: the index file is generated on the server side, however due to limitation in CDN system that page might be outdated, files are still present.

For example this file exists:

http://repo.mysql.com/yum/mysql-5.5-community/el/7/x86_64/mysql-community-server-5.5.59-2....

as verified by curl.

Please try:

$ yum clean all

$ yum install mysql-community-server

and post error messages you get.

At least now I am getting a GPG error:

GPG key retrieval failed: [Errno 14] PYCURL ERROR 22 - "The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found"

However, this is actually caused by an outdated key file by some chef cookbook I am using. This is already being discussed here: https://github.com/chef-cookbooks/yum-mysql-community/issues/16

If I disable the gpgcheck it works fine.

I guess you can close the bug then.

Thank you for confirming.
Closing the issue for now.

Thanks,
