Description:
Hello: 
All pre-requisites are installed on my machine:
1) vc++ studio x64 both 12.0.30501 and 12.0.40660
2) vc++ studi0 x86 both 12.0.30501 and 12.0.40660
3) correct .NET framework installed (please note that the Workbench installs without problem)

MYSQL SERVER Installation fails despite all the pre-requisites being available

How to repeat:
Uninstall and reinstall even with version 5.6

Thank you for the bug report.
I could not repeat the issue at our end using Windows Installer with 1.4.23 version.
Could you please provide repeatable test case (exact steps, Installer verion, screenshot etc. - please make it as private if you prefer) to confirm this issue at our end?

I've confirmed that this issue got already fixed in 5.7.21 version.
